Update - Coronavirus Period Vouchers & Bookings

I am very grateful for the support and understanding I've had from students, past, present and future here at Yuki's Kitchen during the coronavirus period. I am so glad to be running in-person classes here in my kitchen again. An exciting range of online classes will also continue, as these have become such an enjoyable part of my teaching.

As we hopefully keep moving towards more normal times, I am carrying out a review of bookings and vouchers affected by the coronavirus period. If your booking:-

  • had to be postponed during the coronavirus period

  • or your voucher expiry date fell within this period

  • or the voucher expiry period was shortened by it

...please contact me to reconfirm your voucher, a revised expiry date and if you’d like to discuss any potential bookings for a class.

Please do this before Thursday the 30th of September 2021, so that I can respond and assist, before we move into the Christmas period.

Vouchers not confirmed from this date will be valid for online classes only. This will also apply to any vouchers that expired prior to the coronavirus period, for example vouchers with a February 2020 expiry date or earlier.

If you have already made a booking for a future class date, your booking is not affected. Neither are vouchers that have been purchased since June 2021.

If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to get in touch. It is always best to check if you have any doubts and so I can help with any questions.

I look forward to welcoming you to a class online or here in person very soon!

FAQ’s

What will the class size be? Each class will be for between 6-9 students, this being the safe number of people that can be taught comfortably within the kitchen, at any one time.

What should I do if I would like to attend a class with fewer people or do not want to wear a mask? Private one-to-one lessons and classes are always available, if you would prefer a class dedicated to yourself, a couple or a group from one household.

Will the kitchen be cleaned between each class? Yes, all facilities will be cleaned before and after each class.

Will hand sanitiser be provided? Yes, provided upon arrival and available throughout each class.

Will we need to wear gloves? No, this is not required. WHO guidance, is that the use of hand sanitiser and washing of hands is more effective in the prevention of spreading the virus than wearing gloves.

Will any ingredients or food be shared? No, food is served in individual portions.

Do we have to wear a face mask? No, but you are welcome to wear one if you feel more comfortable doing so.

Does everyone have to social distance? The class is held within my kitchen, with this in mind and to ensure everyone is comfortable, please socially distance upon arrival and when using the facilities at Yuki’s Kitchen.

Will you be taking any precautionary tests on arrival? No, but this is on a trust basis, if you're not feeling 100%, stay home. Please err on the side of caution and do not attend, particularly if you have any symptoms of the virus. If it is evident that you are unwell, you will be turned away on the day.  Everyone's enjoyment of the class is the priority, but not at the expense of health and safety.

Will there be access to a toilet? Yes, there is a clean toilet, with hand-washing basin and sanitiser gel available for all students.

Will you be operating test and trace? Yes, if an attendee notifies Yuki’s Kitchen that they have coronavirus and you were in that same class, you will be contacted via email. Attendee records are kept for this purpose.
