Chirashizushi translates as “scattered sushi”, it makes a very quick, easy meal, when you want something to eat and fast. A dish that is as beautiful and colourful, as it is tasty!
 

VEGGIE SUSHI BOWL - CHIRASHI SUSHI

 

Let’s bring some colour to the month, when it is needed most, this February! This veggie sushi bowl is a pleasure to make and in Japan we prepare it in celebration of Hinamatsuri, in early March.

Chirashi sushi brings the pleasure of sushi to the table, with the distinctive aroma of the Japanese sushi rice, but with none of the pressure of rolling. Perfect for a weekday meal, when you are short on time, the rice can be made in advance in ready-to-go batches. Once you know the principles, you can vary the toppings with fresh seasonal vegetables or pickles.
