
Class Description
These classes are an ideal introduction to sushi making for you and children of all ages. The classes make the perfect treat for a weekend or during the school holidays. “Maki” means roll; you will learn four different types of “Maki sushi” in this class. Yuki will teach you how to roll sushi and make “Sushi rice” step-by-step, as well as cutting techniques and skills. She will recommend the best places to find the ingredients, nearby fishmongers and tips for food shopping. Yuki will also show you how to prepare the table and present the Sushi once made. This will be a great introduction to Japanese food culture.

Hoso maki Small roll e.g. cucumber
Chu maki Medium roll e.g. fresh salmon and avocado
Ura-Hoso maki Inside-out small roll e.g. avocado with black sesame
Ura-chu maki Inside-out medium roll e.g. tuna, cucumber and lettuce
